Utilizare in bucatarie:

– seminte, crude sau prajite, albe sau negre – pentru ornarea chiflelor sau a diverselor preparate din aluaturi si, in amestec cu miere, la pregatirea unor dulciuri,

– ulei – condiment,

– unt – pentru prajirea pestelui sau a carnii, in Bucataria Asiatica.
